Standard EN 50366 electromagnetic fields
From 1st February 2004 the standard EN 50366 has been harmonized and it absorbs the European recommendation 1999/519/EEC for human protection to exposition to magnetic fields, in order to prevent immediate effects.
The standard establishes the limits to be respected for emissions of magnetic fields of household appliances and similar products (for example refrigerators, microwaves oven, vacuum cleaners. shavers, hairdryers, and compressors too).
The standard is already in charge and it is mandatory to comply with safety requirements of Low Voltage Directive. Latest 1st February 2006 manufacturers must adapt all appliances to this standard.
TÜV Rheinland can help your company testing your products according to standard EN 50366. Experts of TÜV Rheinland boast about wide experience and work in high technology laboratories. Our engineers carry out EMF tests (Electromagnetic Fields) and guarantee a precise and quick service.
TÜV Rheinland laboratories measure electromagnetic fields for all products included in the scope if the standard: if the results are positive TÜV Rheinland releases the test report of conformity to the standard, which the manufacturer can use for CE marking. Furthermore the manufacturer has the guarantee that the appliances have been tested by a third party internationally famous body as TÜV Rheinland.
If the tests are negative, TÜV Rheinland can support the manufacturer with assistance activities, in order to make the appliances in conformity to standard EN 50366.
