The use of electronic systems in all areas of engineering has increased tremendously. Consideration of exterior effects and of possible interior component defects has usually been absent in the course of this development.
There has frequently been the failure of components as a result of interference voltage peaks which have been caused by external electrical equipment or by high-frequency radiation from mobile telephones. This has led in many cases to fatal accidents since these systems were no longer subject to regulation or control.
There were also similar problems with equipment in which defective software was used; however, this faulty behaviour was usually the result of systematic errors in programming.
Your advantage as a manufacturer.
Electromagnetic compatibility, hardware and software testing, all done by TÜV! So as to exclude the possibility of mistakes, TÜV Rheinland Group provides consulting, assistance and support to manufacturers of electronic products in overcoming problems of electromagnetic compatibility, in software testing and circuit development.
Important for manufacturers of electronic systems.
A design test which has been carried out by a notified body is necessary for electronic safety components in lift engineering (e.g. for the functions of positioning and adjusting with open doors).
It is not permissible to start up a lift system which has safety-relevant components of this kind in Germany unless it has a certificate showing a positive test result. TÜV Rheinland Group provides competent testing and certifies your electronic components.
In addition, we recommend that a voluntary design test be carried out, for reasons of product liability, on all electronic components which do not have a safety function.
